It’s been a great weekend for Boy Banned – we did our first UK gigs in Southampton and Manchester and had such a great time.

But more about that later…I’m here to talk about our competitions! And we have two great competitions to enter. Unfortunately these are both open for over 18’s only, but we don’t want to neglect all our under-18 fans and will have plenty more competitions for all ages very soon.

1. COME TO SPAIN with Boy Banned and be in our first music video!

We are flying out to Spain later this year to film our very first video in a stunning villa complete with pool, and want some sexy people to come out and party with us! It doesn’t matter if you are male or female…we want to create a great party atmosphere so everyone is welcome to enter the competition. Winners will fly out with us boys, enjoying the sunshine and making the video to our track “Hot Spot”.

The only rules are that you are over 18, have a valid UK passport and are able to travel within the EU.

2. Win tickets to come see us at Popshow in London!

On the 20th September we are featuring in the line-up for Popshow, which is celebrating its 10th birthday at Madame JoJo’s in Soho, London. We are giving away THREE PAIRS of tickets to this event, which will feature (in addition to Boy Banned) great acts such as ‘Scarletz’, ‘Ruby White’ and ‘Girl Called Alice’ to name just a few.

Over the decade of Popshow, huge acts such as Pixie Lott have performed there in their early days and continued upwards to enormous success. McFly and the Sugababes have attended to get a first look at the fresh talent on offer. Listed as featuring the “best new acts in the country”, Boy Banned are honoured to be on the line-up of one of the most successful industry showcases in London.

We had a late night last night rehearsing our routines and getting them polished in time for our UK gigs in less than a weeks time, and tonight we are having a party at our stylists salon…whilst he cuts our hair! Music, drinks, food, and haircuts. Perfect way to spend an evening! Expect lots of photos this time tomorrow…

We also have decided a list of tracks to make up our debut album! We all sat down around the computer last night and listened through a huge list of available tracks and came to an agreement on our favourites. Over the next few months we will fit the recording for the album around our gigs and make sure we get a great record made for you all to buy and enjoy!

For all of you in and around the Southampton area, you can catch us onstage at midnight performing at The Edge in Southampton on Sunday 29th August before we rush off to Manchester Pride where we are on the mainstage at 2:15pm alongside Same Difference, Adam Rickitt, Beverley Knight, and the legendary Four Poofs And A Piano!

Pob and Ethan want some proper challenges that they can film to prove who really is the best, and want you lot to help suggest some challenges and forfeits for them to do, no matter how big or small they may be!

Darrin and David are feeling a bit left out (but also not as adventurous) so if you can think of anything for them then send those suggestions in too!

We have just completed recording our two new tracks! There are now lots of tired (but happy) people involved with these tracks heading home to sleep, but I thought I’d quickly write a little blog to touch base.

We now have a beautiful ballad and a full on dance track to add to our initial three tracks that we recorded for our Berlin debut, and now we begin our UK promotion whilst working on more material over the next few months.

Whilst the others were busy singing into the microphone, I made a friend in the garden of the studio…

Except, after playing with me for ages, my new friend didn’t seem to want to let me prove my friendship existed for the camera…

It is less than two weeks until Boy Banned begin their UK gig schedule, starting on August Bank Holiday weekend.

You can catch them doing a Live PA at The Edge in Southampton at midnight on Sunday 29th August, where they will be performing the new tracks (recorded this week) for the first time ever!

And for those of you t’up north, the boys will be flying up to Ethan’s territory (Manchester) in time to appear on the Main Stage at Manchester Pride at 2pm.

We have already heard from some of you who will be attending these gigs and we can’t wait to meet you.
